Queens Of The Stone Age have announced a second date for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2025, along with the full line-ups for the shows.

Earlier this week, the Josh Homme-fronted band were unveiled as the headliners for the festival, which is due to take place on August 27 at the city’s Don Valley Bowl.

Now, due to “phenomenal demand”, a second gig has been added on August 28. Tickets for both days are on sale now and you can buy yours here.

Other previously announced names on the bill included Viagra BoysFat DogThe Bug Club and So Good. Now, they have been joined by ShameJehnny BethThe Murder CapitalBig Freedia and Demob Happy, with more to be announced.

Festival director Ali O’Reilly has said: “The response to Queens of the Stone Age’s first show was incredible. Tickets flew out in record time, and we are excited to give fans another chance to get tickets to see this huge show.

“It’s an honour to bring one of the greatest rock bands of our generation to Sheffield for not just one, but two nights at Rock N Roll Circus. With support from Viagra Boys and The Murder Capital, these shows are going to be something truly special.”

Describing the Rock N Roll Circus’ unique offering, she added: “There’s nothing else quite like Rock N Roll Circus. It’s more than a gig; it’s a full-throttle, immersive experience that transports fans into a world of electrifying performance and raw musical energy.

“Queens Of The Stone Age tearing it up under the big top, surrounded by the madness of the circus, is going to be amazing.”

The festival is one of two UK bookings for QOTSA in 2025, alongside a headline slot at Victorious Festival. The band are set to embark on a European tour this summer too, where they’ll also play various festivals like Øya and Electric Castle.

Last July, QOTSA were forced to cancel some live dates in Europe due to frontman Homme needing “emergency surgery”. The singer then returned to the stage in December for a Mark Lanegan tribute concert in London.

Queens’ first show back is currently scheduled for June 10 in Boston, Massachusetts. That same month, they’ll play at Bonnaroo 2025 in Manchester, Tennessee.

The band released their eighth and latest studio album, ‘In Times New Roman’, in 2023. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “They’ve pitched their comeback between an emotional exorcism for Homme, but with enough fan-service for the die-hards; this is up there with their darkest, knottiest material to date, and will be appreciated all the more for it.”

Last summer, Homme vowed to “roll his sleeves up” so that fans wouldn’t have to wait so long for their next record. There was a six-year gap between 2017’s ‘Villains’ and ‘In Times New Roman’.
