Cardi B has given her verdict on You‘s season five trailer, teasing that fans are “gonna gag”.

Ahead of the now-released trailer’s launch, Netflix dropped a promo video featuring the rapper, which she begins by declaring in the style of Penn Badgley’s character Joe Goldberg: “Hello, you…”

She then confirmed that the trailer would drop the following day, telling viewers: “When I tell you… girl, I am shook. I just saw it… hmm, I’ma be messy. Let me give you a little he he he about it. Joe got some money! He got a girl with money, chile.

“I cannot wait, and it’s like they got a little, cute surprise. I cannot wait for you guys to see the trailer. Y’all gonna gag. Got me gagging!”

The trailer dropped in full today (March 10), showing serial killer Goldberg back in New York City, this time with Kate Galvin-Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie), while he also crosses paths with playwright and bookseller Bronte (Madeline Brewer).

While Goldberg tries to bury his former life, it comes back to haunt him as he’s made “the most visible man in New York”, while Kate is warned she isn’t safe as her husband’s secrets come to the fore.

“At heart, I am a normal guy. Is this what I deserve?” he asks at the end.

Cardi and You have a history, with the rapper and Badgley forming a social media bond after discovering that they were huge fans of each others’ work, even changing each of their profile pictures to one another.

You‘s fifth and final season is set to be released on April 24, with a synopsis teasing: “In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”
