Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke have announced their debut album ‘Tall Tales’, and have shared their latest single ‘This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice’.
The track features a pulsing beat along with a swirl of synthesisers and the Radiohead frontman’s soft voice singing: “I’m not your problem to be corrected / I can’t function with your mind injected,” over the eclectic backing track.
‘This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice’ also comes with a vivid music video directed by visual artist Jonathan Zawada, who is known for his multi-faceted approach that incorporates both analogue and digital techniques. He had previously worked on Pritchard and Yorke’s last release ‘Back In The Game‘.
The track marked latest collaborative work from Yorke and electronic producer Pritchard, after ‘Beautiful People’ in 2016.
Both ‘This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice’ and ‘Back In The Game’ will be featured in Pritchard and Yorke’s debut collaborative album ‘Tall Tales’ which is set for release on May 9 via Warped.
The album will mark Yorke’s first release on the label. ‘Tall Tales’ has been described as a “multi-layered, richly textured record that channels both multiple narratives and multiple genres” in a press release and promises to showcase “Pritchard’s mastery of archaic machines unearthed in synthesizer archives, guiding the music down unexpected and experimental paths,” across the 12 songs that make it up.

The album will be available digitally as well as on a standard black vinyl 2LP gatefold edition and a limited edition black vinyl 2LP edition including a 36-page booklet featuring a wealth of images from the project and lyrics to all the tracks, carefully designed by Zawada. Zawada’s videos for ‘Back In The Game’ and ‘This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice’ make up part of a feature-length film that he has developed over the past few years alongside the creation of the album.
In celebration of the LP’s release, there will be special one night only screenings of the film in selected cinemas across the globe, with more details to be announced shortly.
