Cassie has asked a judge to stop Diddy‘s attempts to obtain a book she has written about him as well as her bank statements.

According to TMZ, Cassie was served a subpoena by Diddy’s legal team that is demanding she turn over “all draft memoirs, autobiographies, narratives, diaries, journals or notes … and any communications about plans to publish or threaten to publish such a document.”

The Bad Boy boss also wants to see his former girlfriend’s bank statements.

According to Diddy’s legal team, Cassie previously told the mogul that she had written a book about their relationship and that he could purchase it for $30 million to prevent it from being published.

Diddy apparently rejected the deal, which led to Cassie filing her civil lawsuit in November 2023 accusing her ex of sexual assault and sex trafficking, which he settled a day later.

Puffy’s legal team are also attempting to cast doubt on the security footage showing him assaulting Cassie in a hotel corridor in 2016.

According to an expert brought on board by the rap legend’s legal team, the CCTV footage is not “accurate” or “reliable.”

TMZ reports that Diddy’s counsel has entered a sworn deposition for his upcoming trial from forensic expert Conor McCourt, who has issues with both the surveillance footage that CNN published as well as an iPhone video that recorded the footage from a playback.

According to the docs, McCourt claims the CNN video appears sped up due to a process called transcoding, which alters frames. He also argues that the iPhone footage makes Diddy look larger, exaggerating his presence.

The former New York City police officer also points to inconsistent timecodes across videos, suggesting it makes it so “a viewer does not know what happened during those numerous breaks in video.”

He ultimately concludes that “none of the available video files are accurate and reliable copies of the original.”

Federal prosecutors have yet to respond to the claims, but previously said they had possession of the original video.

Diddy also apologized for his widely condemnded behavior in the clip, even as he attempts to have the video barred from being used as evidence in his trial.
