News : The original Alice Cooper group announce “once-in-a-lifetime” intimate show at London’s Union Chapel

The original Alice Cooper group have announced details of a one-off intimate show in London. Find out more below.

The night will take place as an exclusive event at London’s Union Chapel on Thursday, July 24. It comes in celebration of the reunion of the original Alice Cooper line-up, which includes Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith, and Michael Bruce.

Back together, the four-piece are set to share their first studio album in over 50 years, ‘The Revenge of Alice Cooper’. The album is due to be released on July 25 via earMUSIC and available to pre-order here.

Presented by both earMUSIC and Rough Trade, the one-night-only event will be hosted by Sir Tim Rice and available to just 900 fans.

It will also offer attendees a first listen to the album in a one-off playback session, as well as a deep dive interview with the band members and a rare Q&A session from the audience.

Tickets for the event go on sale this Wednesday (June 11) at 10am BST on Rough Trade’s website. Both general admission and bundle tickets will include the new album available for purchase, as well as a special commemorative print that comes included.

For the upcoming album, it marks the first time all four members have come together for new material in over half a century. It also sees them reunite with producer Bob Ezrin and pay homage to the sound they captured in the early ‘70s.

As well as the original four, it will also see a guest appearance by Robby Krieger of The Doors on the debut single ‘Black Mamba’ and a special posthumous feature from original guitarist Glen Buxton.

The album marks their first LP together since 1973’s ‘Muscle Of Love’.

Bob Ezrin’s feature on the LP comes as he has worked on a number of classic Alice Cooper albums including ‘School’s Out’ and ‘Billion Dollar Babies’.

Reflecting on the band being back together, he has said: “None of them has changed much as a person. Obviously, everyone’s older and more mature and more settled, but when we all get together and I watch the interplay between them, it’s like they just walked out of high school and were hanging out in the local cafe.

“They just revert to type. They revert to who they were as kids when they first got together… and make music together like they did 50-some years ago.”
