Jarvis Cocker has arrived at Glastonbury 2025. Could this mean Pulp are the mysterious Patchwork act?

The iconic festival at Worthy Farm is well underway, with headliners Neil YoungThe 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo set to take on the Pyramid Stage, and Loyle CarnerCharli XCX and The Prodigy on the Other Stage. Rod Stewart will be playing Sunday’s Legend’s Slot.

However, there are still some acts yet to be revealed. Rumours about some secret sets at this year’s festival arose after the full line-up and day splits were unveiled at the start of the month, and there were indications of several secret sets on the way.

One of the most talked-about sets is the performance of a mysterious artist going by the name ‘Patchwork’, which is planned for the Pyramid Stage on Saturday.

Since it was announced, fans and bookies have been convinced that the set would most likely be a surprise set from Britpop legends, Pulp – although both frontman Jarvis Cocker and keyboardist Candida Doyle have been quick to dismiss the rumours.

Now, Cocker has revealed he’s on site at Worthy Farm, and played an impromptu DJ set at the Greenpeace stage for a reported crowd of 50 people.

The frontman teased the short set on his Instagram earlier today (June 27), sharing a photo of a tree by the stage alongside the caption: “At 5:45pm some sounds will start coming from this tree…”. This was then confirmed as a surprise set by the reputable source Secret Glasto.

Now that it’s confirmed that Cocker is in the area, speculation that Pulp may be tomorrow’s (June 28) surprise act has only increased.

However, nothing is fully confirmed, as Chappell Roan also recently teased that she could be the mysterious ‘Patchwork’ act setHAIM are also contenders, and have been dropping hints about their love for the festival in recent interviews.

So far, Lewis Capaldi filled the ‘TBA’ slot on the Pyramid Stage earlier today, making a triumphant return after rumours had been swirling all week that he was in fact the surprise act.

Before that, Lorde showed up as the first main music act to open this year’s festival with her surprise Woodsies tent set, where she played her new album ‘Virgin’ in full.

NME caught the performance, giving it a five-star review that read: “Live, some of the songs really come into their own. ‘Man Of The Year’s slow build becomes even more dramatic and thunderous, Lorde ending the track collapsed in a heap on the floor in response.”

The weekend continues with Charli XCXDeftonesNeil YoungOlivia RodrigoThe ProdigyRod Stewart and many more. Check out the full line-up and schedule here.
