Danny L Harle has tapped PinkPantheress for a new song. “Starlight” is the British producer’s first new music as lead artist since releasing his debut solo album, Harlecore, in 2021—and his first single for new home label, XL Recordings. Listen to it below.

Harle said in a press release, “‘Starlight’ reaches for a kind of euphoric melancholy—a guiding light in all of my music. It’s shaped by my love of the melancholic songwriting traditions of Europe from composers like Monteverdi and John Dowland, all the way to ’90s Eurodance and the uplifting trance of the 2000s—artists like Gigi D’Agostino and Alice Deejay. PinkPantheress is the dream collaborator for this song, her love for ornamental melodies and hypnotic lyricism fit perfectly into my sound world.”

In May, PinkPantheress shared the mixtape Fancy That. She’ll take her An Evening With PinkPantheress Tour to North America this autumn. As a producer, Harle has most recently worked on Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism and Oklou’s Choke Enough. He’s spent the last two weeks teasing “Starlight” on social media under the alias “__.ccccccccc.__.”
