IVE are reportedly due to make a comeback this August.

According to a Naver reportStarship Entertainment has seemingly confirmed that the K-pop group are working on a comeback at the end of next month. The entertainment agency said in a statement: “IVE is gearing up for a full-fledged comeback with the goal of making a comeback at the end of August.”

Further details have yet to be announced, including when fans can expect a single. It is also currently unclear if IVE’s comeback will be in the form of a full-length album, or a mini album.

IVE most recently released the Japanese single ‘Be Alright’ last week (July 16). Ahead of that, the group last released the Korean mini-album ‘IVE Empathy’ in February.

The other songs on ‘IVE Empathy’ are ‘Flu’, ‘Thank U’, ‘TKO’ and ‘You Wanna Cry’, the last of which interpolates Whitney Houston‘s seminal hit ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.

Most recently, IVE have performed on the main stages of Lollapalooza festival in Berlin and Paris, making them the first-ever K-pop girl group to perform in three cities for Lolla across two years.

As for full-length material, IVE have only released one album so far: 2023’s ‘I’ve IVE’. That album placed among NME‘s top 50 albums of the year, with Rhian Daly writing: “After introducing themselves as contenders for K-pop’s crown in 2022, the group solidified their excellence with their debut album, ‘I’ve IVE’ in April. The record showed off Ive’s full spectrum of strengths, going on a thrilling journey from the bratty, brash pop of ‘Kitsch’ to the soft resilience of ‘Heroine’ and the upbeat rush of ‘Not Your Girl’. It fully justified the buzz around them, shining from beginning to end with fresh ideas and immaculate energy.”
