Mariah Carey is preparing to take the spotlight with a headline performance on a floating stage in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.
On Friday, it was revealed that the superstar will perform in the Amazon as part of the Amazônia Live: Today and Always concert, an event designed to raise global awareness of the climate crisis.
The show will take place on September 17 on a stage built over the Guamá River, highlighting the ongoing mission to protect and preserve the rainforest.
The stage itself is modeled after the Victoria Amazonica, the region’s iconic flower, and will feature the stunning Amazon sunset as the backdrop to Mariah’s performance.
The lineup also includes celebrated Brazilian performers Dona Onete, Gaby Amarantos, Zaynara, and Joelma.
Amazônia Live: Today and Always arrives just two months before the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Brazil, with organizers hoping to emphasize the urgency of safeguarding the rainforest and its biodiversity.
This new performance comes on the heels of Mariah’s recent appearance at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where she was honored with the prestigious Video Vanguard Award.
The Emotions singer is also gearing up to release her sixteenth studio album, Here for It All, which is scheduled to arrive on September 26.
