Although NBA YoungBoy did not include many direct shots on his new song Zero IQ Freestyle, he still appeared to call out NLE Choppa as their ongoing feud continues to escalate. YoungBoy’s comments about Choppa, who now uses the name NLE The Great, quickly made their way to him on social media.
The Memphis rapper jumped onto Twitter and other platforms to fire back at YB yet again, sharing a clip of himself playing a track he had teased earlier as another diss aimed at the Baton Rouge MC. He posted the video only hours after Zero IQ Freestyle dropped, so he likely already caught the track’s intense tone.
“You pies do not know, though,” NLE Choppa said passionately while speaking about NBA YoungBoy. “You hear me? Y’all do not know that that boy in trouble. Y’all do not know that boy in trouble, y’all do not know that boy in trouble! But I do, na! I do, na. And y’all think I am crazy? I am the fool? Okay. Watch how this st pan out. And we gon’ really see who really the fing fool. And we really gon’ see who really the fing one! Py, wipe that spit off your face, b*h! That boy in trouble!”
The real question about NLE The Great’s response to YoungBoy Never Broke Again is not whether he will drop one, but when he will do it. It seems he already had something in the works, so YoungBoy’s latest track only adds more fuel to what was already brewing.
At the same time, NLE Choppa’s public comments about the beef have been confusing. Not long ago, he said he would still be open to collaborating, yet his KO diss track sent a very different message. After that, Choppa claimed he still “loves” YoungBoy despite the conflict, which left many fans puzzled. At this stage, any type of resolution seems unlikely.
With everything going on, it will be interesting to see how much longer they keep this feud going while both artists juggle other successes and controversies. Fans might be invested, but if the music does not deliver, most listeners probably will not stick around for the drama alone.
