Liam Gallagher has acknowledged that Oasis still need to “sit down and discuss” whether anything will continue after their Oasis Live ’25 tour.

The Britpop icon has been hinting to fans that the Supersonic group’s first set of shows in 16 years might carry on beyond this year, but he has now admitted that even though he would love to keep going “till the day we die”, he and the rest of the band still have to talk it through.

When a user on X asked if anyone had “scolded” him for saying he would “see you next year”, Liam admitted there had been “a few tuts and raised eyebrows.”

He then clarified that his comment could just as easily refer to returning to the road with his solo band rather than Oasis.

Liam told another fan, “You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with Oasis we need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not.”

The tour, which kicked off in July, is scheduled to finish in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 23.

Recently, a fan on X asked Liam, “how do you feel about the tour being almost over william? all i know is you guys should def be so proud of yourselves for accomplishing a sold out and flawlessssss WORLD tour after not playing as a band for over a decade like cmooonnnnn nobody does it like you guys. (sic)”

Liam responded, “It’s only starting.”

Oasis fans were also given one of their biggest hints yet that the band could return to Knebworth for a massive run of shows next summer.

There has been widespread talk about the group possibly continuing their momentum with another set of concerts at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire in 2026, marking the 30th anniversary of their two record-smashing shows there in 1996.

Support for the idea grew after a member of the UK’s House of Lords – Lady Taylor of Stevenage – mentioned the band during an October session, telling the chamber, “Next July, I will have the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House, which is just about a mile away from my house.

“I can hear and enjoy [the gigs] from my house, and they represent the important cultural role of music venues and … make an enormous contribution to our economy.”

However, Lady Taylor later clarified her remarks in a statement to the Guardian, saying, “I was speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996. I understand the band have not confirmed this.”

Her comments followed Liam’s earlier claim that the reunion run was only at its halfway point.

When a fan asked why the 2002 track The Hindu Times – the lead single from their number-one fifth album Heathen Chemistry – wasn’t part of the setlist for Oasis’ first tour in 16 years, Liam seemed to hint that the run would carry on past the current final date.

He replied, “Chill Winston it’s not even HALF TIME yet. It’s a tour of 2 half’s (sic).”
