Kelsea Ballerini has been emphasizing that she is focused on "protecting her peace" while talk continues to swirl about a possible breakup with Chase Stokes.
The country star shared with her Instagram followers that she intends to keep her private life to herself as speculation grows about where she and the Outer Banks actor currently stand.
During a fan Q&A, one follower checked in on the 32-year-old and asked how she was feeling and if she needed anything, and Kelsea responded, "Thank you for saying this and asking. I'm in a steady and happy place right now, truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays."
She added, "If I had one favor, it would be honoring that I'm trying to make my personal life personal for now. Unless it comes from me, its not from me. and that is really important in protecting my peace right now (sic)."
A representative for the singer later confirmed that she and Chase had ended their relationship in September after two years together.
Even so, the pair fueled talk of getting back together when they were seen holding hands last month in Edinburgh, Scotland and Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Not long after, however, Chase, 33, seemed to suggest their romance had ended for good through a set of cryptic Instagram Stories posted on 20 November.
"Don't believe the media. I'm blocked, I did nothing wrong," he wrote, followed by: "Sorry (heart emoji) I tried."
In another message, the Tell Me Your Secrets actor spoke more directly, saying, "I'm sorry for those who believed in us... It is what it is... Onwards and upwards."
The two were first rumored to be dating in January 2023. Kelsea later confirmed the relationship the following month on the Call Her Daddy podcast, mentioning that she had "slid into" his DMs.
The Half of My Hometown singer was previously married to Australian country artist Morgan Evans from 2017 to 2022, while the Uglies actor dated his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline between 2020 and 2021.
CD and vinyl versions of the album are set to arrive later this year.
