The surprise breakout television series Heated Rivalry has officially made its soundtrack available on streaming platforms.
The Canadian queer sports romance first debuted for audiences in the US back in November, and it is now airing in the UK via Sky and NOW TV. The opening two episodes premiered on January 10, with the complete six episode season currently available to stream.
The series was created, written and directed by Jacob Tierney of Letterkenny, and is adapted from Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novels. It centres on rival professional ice hockey players Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, portrayed by Connor Storrie, whose intense rivalry on the ice masks a secret and deeply emotional romance.
Music plays a major role throughout the six episode run, with numerous needle drops featuring artists such as Wet Leg, Feist, Wolf Parade and t.A.T.u. A full breakdown of the songs featured in the series can be found here.
Fans can now also listen to the show’s original score. Released yesterday January 16 through Milan Records, the 34 track collection features music composed specifically for the series by Canadian artist and composer Peter Peter.
