Kanye West has drawn heavy criticism in recent years over a series of antisemitic controversies and inflammatory remarks. Despite the backlash, his global following remains strong. It was recently revealed that he plans to bring a tour to India later this year, giving fans there a rare opportunity to see him perform live. According to India Today, the run is expected to kick off in April and would mark his first time performing in the country.

Reports note that West previously spent time in India back in 2009 while attending a spiritual retreat. He later returned in 2012, traveling to Mumbai to promote his fashion line and staying at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. At this stage, further details about the upcoming tour, including exact dates, venues, and ticket information, have not yet been shared.

The announcement of Ye’s India tour follows a string of canceled appearances elsewhere due to his controversial conduct. Slovakia’s Rubicon Festival, which had been set for July 2026, was ultimately called off after protests over the Chicago rapper’s inclusion on the lineup. He was also scheduled to perform in South Korea in May, but that show was scrapped following the release of his song “Heil Hitler.”

Beyond touring news, Ye is also preparing to release his next album, Bully. The project is currently scheduled to arrive on January 30 and is available for pre save on Spotify.

So far, around 500,000 listeners have already pre saved the album, making it the fourth most pre saved release on the platform at the moment. It currently sits behind Joji’s Piss In The Wind, Gorillaz’s The Mountain, and Charli xcx’s Wuthering Heights soundtrack.

The tracklist, unveiled earlier this month, includes song titles such as “Preacher Man,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Last Breath,” “Damn,” “White Lines,” and others.
