The Pussycat Dolls have confirmed their return with a global reunion tour and have also released a brand new single titled Club Song. Full details can be found below.
The group known for Don’t Cha are returning as a three member lineup featuring Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt. The reunion marks twenty years since the release of their debut album PCD.
The trio will begin a 53 show tour starting in North America this June, joined by Lil’ Kim and Mya. After that, they will head to the UK and Ireland in September for nine performances with Lil’ Kim appearing as the supporting act.
The UK and Ireland schedule includes stops in Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester. The tour will then wrap up with a final performance at London’s O2 Arena on October 13.
Tickets will become available to the public at 10am local time worldwide on Friday March 20. Fans can buy UK tickets here and US tickets here. There is also a pre-sale option available which fans can register for here by Monday March 16. Pre-sale access will begin at 9am local time on Wednesday March 18.
Alongside the tour announcement, the group also released their new single Club Song, marking their first new release since React in 2019. The track was produced by Mike Sabbath who has worked with RAYE and Jade, and was written by Nicole Scherzinger together with Sabbath, Caroline Ailin who has collaborated with Dua Lipa, and Solly who has worked with Teddy Swims. Fans can listen to the track below.
The Pussycat Dolls have also confirmed a deluxe reissue of their 2005 debut album which will be released both on vinyl and digitally on May 8. The new edition will include previously unreleased songs. Fans can pre order it here.
The group originally announced plans to reunite back in 2019 and intended to tour across the UK and Ireland. However, those plans were delayed due to the COVID 19 pandemic and legal complications.
Speaking about the reunion, Scherzinger told BBC News: “After 20 years, you’re like, ‘Where is everybody?’ But for us, it aligned. People are in different places in their lives, some of the other people have different commitments and priorities, but this worked out for us.”
Roberts said it was Scherzinger who initially contacted the other members about bringing the group back together.
“We had some conversations, and we were just like, ‘We’re on the same page, we’re excited about embracing where we’re at now as women and celebrating that’,” she said.
“I’m just really excited to get back on stage and swing these hips around in some latex, hun!”
