Turnstile have performed a cover of the explosive song ‘Burning Fight’, originally released by Zack de la Rocha’s pre Rage Against The Machine group, Inside Out.

The Baltimore hardcore band shared their version of the song during a recent appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Late.

During the session, frontman Brendan Yates and the rest of the band performed two tracks from their latest critically praised album ‘Never Enough’, including ‘I Care’ and ‘Dull’. Keeping with the show’s tradition, they also chose to perform a cover from another artist.

For the cover selection, the group picked ‘Burning Fight’, the energetic hardcore track first released by Zack de la Rocha during his time with Inside Out.

The song originally appeared as the lead single from Inside Out’s only release, the EP No Spiritual Surrender, which arrived in 1990 before de la Rocha went on to form Rage Against The Machine the following year.

Watch Turnstile’s take on the track below, where the band largely sticks close to the original version while still bringing their own energy through Yates’ instantly recognisable vocals.

The Live Lounge Late performance follows Turnstile’s intense appearance at Coachella 2026 last month, where the band opened their set by addressing reports involving former guitarist Brady Ebert and Brendan Yates’ father.

Earlier that month, reports surfaced claiming Ebert, who left Turnstile in 2022, had been arrested on charges including attempted second degree murder and first degree assault. It was later revealed that Ebert allegedly struck Yates’ father, William, with his vehicle.

Turnstile later stated that William suffered “severe physical trauma” after being hit by the car and underwent surgery while continuing his recovery process.

The band are also preparing for a UK exclusive headline performance at The Piece Hall and are scheduled to support Tyler, The Creator at All Points East 2026.

Additional festival appearances currently on their schedule include Lollapalooza 2026, Bonnaroo 2026, Austin City Limits 2026 and more. Visit here for UK tickets and here for international tickets.
