Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons have called off all remaining tour dates for 2026 as the legendary singer focuses on his health.
Valli, who celebrated his 92nd birthday in May, confirmed that the rest of this year’s scheduled performances have been canceled in a statement released ahead of the weekend.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” Valli shared in a statement posted to the group’s Instagram page on Friday, May 29.
“I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon,” he added in his statement. “Thank you for all your good wishes.”
The singer did not reveal any additional information about the health issues behind his decision.
Despite his age, Valli has remained active on stage in recent years through The Last Encores Tour, the farewell trek that launched in 2023 and was later expanded through the end of 2026. He had been scheduled to perform in several U.S. cities during June and July, with another run of concerts planned between September and November.
During an interview with Tucson radio station 94.9 MIX FM in February, Valli spoke about what continues to motivate him to perform after so many years in the music business. “Be loyal to what you’re doing and love what you’re doing. If you’re doing it out of fame or with the hope of becoming famous. it’s really the wrong approach. You should be doing it out of the fact that you love and it and it’s the most important thing in your life. If I had not become successful I’d probably still be working in some little bar. I love music that much.”
Last year, the Recording Academy presented Valli with a lifetime achievement award at its Special Merit Awards ceremony. The recognition arrived despite the fact that he had never won a Grammy. Throughout his career, he scored five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with The Four Seasons, beginning with 1962’s “Sherry,” which reached the top after being introduced by Dick Clark on American Bandstand. He also earned two chart topping singles as a solo artist, including the title track from the 1978 film Grease. Accepting the honor, Valli said, “This has been an incredible evening,” before joking, “I don’t know what took so long, but that’s the way it goes.”
