Katy Perry has publicly celebrated her relationship with Justin Trudeau, describing the former Canadian Prime Minister as the "love of my life".

The pop superstar and Trudeau made their first red carpet appearance together on Monday at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, where Perry attended the premiere of her new concert movie, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour - Live from Paris.

Following the screening, Perry joined a Q&A session and spoke candidly about her personal life, leaving little doubt about how serious her relationship with Trudeau has become.

"I would say now at the end of 91 shows, I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love," the 41 year old performer said while reflecting on her Lifetimes Tour.

"Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, and so I felt very anchored by that," Perry added, referring to the Paris performances from November 2025 that are featured in the concert film.

The singer went on to discuss the impact Trudeau has had on her life, explaining that the 54 year old has provided a sense of stability and security.

"I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite - I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored, so to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now," she explained.

Perry also reflected on the end of her long term relationship with Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares their five year old daughter, Daisy Dove.

The Firework star acknowledged that 2025 was among the most challenging periods she has experienced and said both her daughter and her supporters helped her navigate the difficult aftermath of the breakup.

"There were days that were really, really, really hard, and I just kept going because I made a promise to my fans, I made a promise to my daughter, I made a promise to myself," Perry shared.

"And I got through it. I walked through the fire because everybody has to walk through their own fire. And if you're walking through hell, you keep going, because on the other side of hell is definitely heaven," she continued.

Elsewhere during the discussion, Perry spoke about how entering her 40s has changed her outlook on life. She said her 20s were centered on emotions, her 30s were about understanding and processing those feelings, and her 40s have become a period of learning how not to be ruled by them.
