Blueface‘s mother, Karlissa Saffold, has issued an apology to Sexyy Red after taking a jab at her appearance.
On Tuesday (November 28), Saffold took to her Instagram Stories where she attempted to make amends with the St. Louis rapper after calling her “Stanky Grandma” and saying she’s “barely cute.”
“It’s been heavy on my heart to apologize to Sexyy Red because she ain’t never done nothing to me or my comedy may have caused her pain,” wrote Saffold.
“I think you are brave and beautiful in your own special way. I’m sorry for offending you because I’m not after those who never done anything to me. Please forgive me.”
Karlissa Saffold’s backpedaling comes after she disparaged the “Pound Town” hitmaker during an Instagram Live last week.
“Sexyy Red look like my grandma Bessie. She barely cute, she barely cute. Stanky Red ain’t either. Stanky Red look like my grandma Bessie, she barely making it, OK? Stanky Red is like, barely,” Blueface’s mother said.
After catching wind of the slight, Sexyy Red fired back via an Instagram comment, writing: “Didn’t Chrisean knot chu df up.”
Her comment referenced Saffold’s run-ins with Blueface’s ex-girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, who allegedly punched Saffold last year, leaving her with a bruised face.
Saffold is just the latest in Blueface’s family to find fault with Sexyy Red. Last week, the “SkeeYee” rhymer was put on blast by Blueface‘s sister Kaliwae for allegedly stealing a track titled “Free My N-gga,” which was meant for her to record.
“Sexyy Red is really stealing our shit,” she said while chatting with someone off-camera in a video posted to social media. “She said, ‘free my n-gga, he ain’t do shit.’ Free my n-gga, he ain’t do it. Like girl! She’s a mess! She’s pregnant, right?”
Kaliwae continued: “I really don’t want to do music. But I just don’t like when motherfuckers play with me. You know what I’m saying? […] Y’all saw it all on my mama’s page. Like quit playin’, bro. Quit playin’! Y’all put two and two together.”
At first, Sexyy Red wasn’t trying to hear it and reposted the video along with the caption: “Girl play poundtown skeeyee & stfu.” But just two days later, she changed her tune, writing: “Ima make some kidz bop songs for yall fr.”
