The mugshot came after SpotemGottem was arrested following his attempt to hide from police in a shed after trying to escape from law enforcement in a high-speed car chase last year.
In bodycam footage that was leaked online back in March, the Florida rapper could be seen hiding in somebody’s shed as Miami-Dade officers arrested him on weapons charges following a lengthy chase.
The video shows SpotemGottem (real name Nehemiah Harden) crawling on his hands and knees as the cops, accompanied by a K-9 dog, order him out of the shed. They also appear to seize his gold chains.
The footage relates to an incident from last July where SpotemGottem fled from police after they attempted to pull him over during a traffic stop.
The arrest form indicates that police pulled over the 22-year-old rapper because his Corvette had tinted windows. When they approached the car, he accelerated and drove off.
While other officers were alerted about the pursuit, the rapper collided with another vehicle. His car eventually gave out on him and the police caught up to him on foot.
Upon searching his vehicle, authorities found one Glock 23 with an illegally modified automatic sear, one extended .40-caliber gun magazine with 19 rounds of ammunition and a loose .40-caliber round.
Spotem did not have a concealed weapons permit and was driving with a suspended license, and was thus hit with multiple charges.
It was not the first time that the rapper ended up on the wrong side of the law. In 2022, he was arrested in Miami after leading police on a jet ski chase which allegedly risked the lives and property of people nearby.
The year before that, he was arrested by U.S. Marshals on an array of weapons charges, according to NBC 6 South Florida.
