Teddy Swims has announced the second part of his debut album, ‘I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)’. Find out more below.

The first part of the breakthrough release arrived last September via Warner, and put the singer-songwriter on the map with the global smash hits including  ‘Lose Control’ and ‘The Door’.

From there, the 2024 breakout star – real name Jaten Dimsdale – has gone on to share a new single called ‘Bad Dreams’ earlier this month, as well as perform a cover of Rihanna’s 2013 single ‘Stay‘ at the MTV VMAs.

At the ceremony, he was nominated for four awards: Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best Alternative, and PUSH Performance of the Year.

Now, after playing a handful of shows in the UK and Europe over the spring and summer this year – including a set at Reading Festival and a surprise acoustic performance at Reading train station – the artist has confirmed more details about the second part of the album.

‘I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)’ is scheduled for release on January 24 and is available pre-order/pre-save here. Check out the album artwork above.

Following the release of ‘Bad Dreams’ earlier this month, Swims secured yet another UK Top 40 hit, with the single debuting at Number 28 on the UK charts. He has previously reached the Top 40 twice before, with ‘The Door’, which peaked at Number 13 and ‘Lose Control’ which hit Number 25.

As well as gearing up to release the second part of his debut LP in January, Teddy Swims is also preparing to embark on a UK and European arena tour throughout 2025.

He’ll be bringing his ‘I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy’ tour back across the Atlantic for an opening night in Dǔsseldorf, Germany on February 11. From there, he’ll take on dates in cities including Oslo, Berlin, Paris and London, before finishing in Dublin, Ireland, on March 12. Visit here for remaining tickets.

Elsewhere, following his performance on the BBC Radio 1 Stage at Reading 2024, Swims spoke to NME about his experience at the festival, saying: “This crowd is so beautiful. As far as I’ve been hearing, there’s a lot of kids get their exam things, and they come out here. You can see it – kids having their first liberating moments and stuff. It was a really beautiful thing to be a part of.”

He also discussed his rise to fame and the success of ‘Lose Control,” explaining: “The thing was, after we got it done, we knew it was going to change my life. I didn’t know it was going to change it like this. I didn’t know it was going to be this, but I knew it was going to work. But I think it was the first time that I felt honest.”

Also this year, Swims released the single ‘Funeral’ from the Bose x NME C24 mixtape, the latest in the iconic C-Series mixtape series.

Showcasing some of the brightest new artists around, the likes of LaufeyArtemasRoyel Otis and Lola Young also feature after being hand-picked by the judges of C24’s new artist competition in association with the social music creation platform BandLab.
