With the Grammys happening this weekend (March 14), normally scores of artists and their ilk would be convening in Los Angeles for a few days of sunshine, free gifting suites, and parties galore. But with the planet still sick, the show will go virtual.

As such, The Roots will also host a virtual version of their Grammy Jam Sessions the night before the awards show (March 13), and they have invited Ari LennoxTobe NwigweAnt ClemonsEmily King, Jon Baptise, Brittany Spencer, and Kathy Sledge to join them. While there won’t be any fans allowed to be in attendance, The Roots are teaming with Tidal and Oculus to provide both “virtual reality… and 2D video and high-quality audio” viewing options.

In other words… can we get this planet back to healthy soon, please? Please?! While I appreciate The Roots for adjusting with the times, these are the types of functions that are meant to be experienced in person.
