Music : JoJo Siwa reveals surprising dream collaborator

JoJo Siwa has her sights set on an unlikely collaboration with Eminem.

The “Karma” singer admitted she would love to team up with the “Real Slim Shady” rapper as a playful way of tricking the internet, after viral rumors spread suggesting Eminem didn’t like her.

Speaking with The Sun newspaper, she explained, “I always used to say Lady Gaga was my dream collab, but that’s never going to happen. Now it’s Slim Shady.

"I’ve thought about reaching out to him and saying, ‘Dude, there’s this whole corner of the internet that thinks you hate me. We should just mess with them.’”

JoJo even joked about how she would pitch the idea. “I’d tell him to drop a savage diss track, absolutely destroy me, and then at the very end reveal, ‘Oh yeah, by the way, she wrote this.’”

The former Dance Moms star pointed out that she and Eminem share a mutual connection through Sir Elton John, which makes her hopeful that the collaboration might not be so far-fetched. Asked whether Elton could make an introduction, she replied, “I’m sure he could.”

While JoJo has released a few singles recently, including “Raspy,” she has no intention of recording a full album right now. For her, the freedom to release music without the pressure of sales targets feels more authentic.

“Before Big Brother, I was working on a big project, even an album, but I stopped as soon as I got out,” she shared. “Right now, I feel inspired to just write and release in the moment. If I put ‘Raspy’ on an album, it wouldn’t come out for another nine months, and I don’t want to wait.”

She added, “Some songs work for the wrong reasons, and others, like ‘Raspy,’ work for the right ones. That’s unpredictable. So why put all that pressure on an album? I’d rather just enjoy myself, write, release, and keep things fun.”

JoJo revealed she already has more material in the works. “I’ve got lawyers signing off on two songs today, writers and producers working on another one that I’ll record when I get home, and we’re just cooking.”
