If the members of BTS have seemed quiet recently, it’s because they’ve been busy creating new music. Earlier this year, the group confirmed that their long-awaited comeback will take place in the spring of 2026, featuring a brand-new album and world tour. RM recently shared an update with ARMY on social media, offering a glimpse into how things are progressing behind the scenes.

“Above all, the music is really coming out great,” RM wrote on X. “Everyone is working hard. Look forward to it. 2026 Bulletproof Army Fighting.” The post included four new photos, giving fans a small but exciting check-in from the studio.

BTS have been working on their upcoming album since July. This project will be their first studio release since 2020’s Be. “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas. We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” the band shared earlier this year. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”

Following the announcement of their hiatus in March 2022, V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, and J-Hope took time to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea while also pursuing solo projects. Now reunited, the members are ready to bring the lessons and experiences they’ve gained back into BTS.

RM last updated fans about the project in August, reflecting on the creative process. “Making something ‘together’ with these friends, I’m going to commit myself to this moment. I’m going to thank you,” he shared at the time. “It’s our next album. I’m looking for what I’ll become. Something I’ve forgotten for too long, the moments that are far away together. I hope that it will be a kind of beauty.”
