Look Mum No Computer is set to compete for the U.K. at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest this May.
The British content creator and electronics specialist, whose real name is Sam Battle, has been chosen to represent the United Kingdom at the 70th staging of the competition, due to take place in Vienna, Austria.
"I find it completely bonkers to be jumping on this wonderful and wild journey," he shared. "I have always been a massive Eurovision fan, and I love the magical joy it brings to millions of people every year, so getting to join that legacy and fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour that I am taking very seriously."
He continued, "I've been working a long time creating, writing, and producing my own visions from scratch, and documenting my process. I will be bringing every ounce of my creativity to my performances, and I can't wait for everyone to hear and see what we've created. I hope Eurovision is ready to get synthesized!"
Battle first gained attention in 2014 as the lead singer of indie outfit ZIBRA, who appeared at Glastonbury the year after forming.
He later launched his solo project under the Look Mum No Computer name in 2019 and has since released a range of singles, EPs, albums and toured extensively.
On YouTube, he has built a following for designing and performing with inventive and unconventional electronic instruments, earning a Guinness World Record for constructing the largest drone synthesiser in the world.
The track he will take to Eurovision is scheduled to premiere on BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show in the weeks ahead.
The Eurovision grand final is set for Saturday 16 May at Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.
