Tokischa stunned the crowd by shaving her head live while performing at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday March 21.

The Dominican performer, who has not yet released her first full length album but has earned multiple placements on the Hot Latin Songs chart both as a solo act and collaborator, recently dropped her new track “Surfboard” on March 19. She revealed her dramatic new look while performing as the opening act on FKA Twigs’ 2026 Body High Tour. The show marked the second night of her six date run supporting Twigs. Brutalismus 3000 and Eartheater are also scheduled to appear on the remaining United States dates of the tour.

Billboard shared footage of Tokischa’s striking onstage moment at Madison Square Garden, which can be viewed below.

Tokischa’s upcoming album is titled Amor & Droga. A release date for the project has not yet been announced.

Speaking with Billboard in August, she said, “This album really tells a very special story for me, a very difficult time in my life that shaped me and brought me to where I am now. It’s like a diary where I recount certain experiences that I’ve never talked about before. I feel like this was the best concept for a debut album where I can let it all out.”

Her latest single “Surfboard,” which is expected to appear on Amor & Droga, was produced by Skrillex. Tokischa also released a music video for the song this week after first performing it live earlier this month. Fans attending FKA Twigs’ tour have been some of the first audiences to hear the track performed live.
