News : Young Thug shows off colorful style at Coachella

Young Thug revealed a fresh hairstyle at Coachella over the weekend, showing off braids styled in a mix of rainbow colors. Photos of him rocking the look during his performance have been making rounds across social media.

A lot of fans have been into the new style. “That's not a bad look. Coachella is living up to its billing with the great acts and performances and appearances of guests,” one user wrote on X formerly known as Twitter while reacting to Kurrco. Another person added, “Sh*t dope asf, I still miss when 5 had the pink and purple dreads.”

Others were not feeling it as much. “I don’t fuk wit this braids tho but I fuk with thug,” one fan shared, while another commented, “looks a f*cking mess thank god his music is godly.”

When it came to the rest of Young Thug’s Coachella performance, he ran through a lineup of some of his biggest records. The set included “Mamacita,” “Check,” “Digits,” “Havana,” “Pick Up the Phone,” and “Hot,” along with other tracks.

At one point, Thug paused the show to acknowledge Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, who was in the crowd. “What’s up, North? How you doing? Where are your parents?” he asked.

“I want y’all to make some noise for North,” Thug went on. “She in this motherf*cker. Like, you just casually out, just casually having fun. Like, what are you doing?”

He also gave attention to Teyana Taylor, sharing that he had been trying to reach her over the past month. “I wanted her to style me, man. She just too big. She wasn’t calling back,” he said.

Thug’s set took place during the opening weekend of Coachella 2026, which started on Friday. A wide range of major artists also performed across the festival, including Sexyy Red, Swae Lee, Ethel Cain, Fakemink, Justin Bieber, BIA, Addison Rae, Oklou, Clipse, Geese, and more. The event is set to continue with another round of performances next weekend.
