News : Serge Pizzorno surprises fans during Calvin Harris’ Hampden Park concert

Calvin Harris welcomed Kasabian frontman Serge Pizzorno onto the stage during his two enormous hometown concerts at Hampden Park. Footage of the pair performing their collaboration ‘Release The Pressure’ can be seen below, alongside details about Harris’ new collection of “rave haggis”.

The Scottish producer and DJ played his biggest hometown concerts so far in Glasgow over the weekend, spanning Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. Around 100,000 people attended the two consecutive shows, with the opening night broadcast live by the BBC.

Alongside popular tracks including ‘We Found Love’, ‘Bounce’ and ‘Feel So Close’, Harris performed ‘Release The Pressure’, his joint song with Serge Pizzorno. The Kasabian singer appeared as a surprise guest during both evenings.

“Hampden Park get your hands in the air, and make some noise,” Pizzorno told the audience while singing from a smaller platform positioned in the centre of the stadium. Harris remained at the DJ decks on the primary stage, surrounded by bright lighting and pyrotechnic effects.

Harris celebrated the singer’s appearance through an Instagram post, while Pizzorno shared his own message: “You turned the home of Scottish football into the home of dance music!”

Pizzorno was not the only guest at Harris’ Glasgow concerts. Clementine Douglas also joined the DJ to perform their 2025 single ‘Blessings’, which later earned them a BRIT Award nomination.

Harris also celebrated the landmark Scottish performances by releasing a limited collection of “rave haggis” before the concerts began.

Created through a collaboration with Scottish butcher Stahly Quality Foods, the product was described online as a “tribute to Scottish culture” and “the ultimate collector’s item for those who appreciate exceptional quality produce”. Its packaging included imagery influenced by the posters designed for Harris’ 2026 Hampden Park dates.

“Absolutely buzzing to announce my own HAGGIS to celebrate my two Scotland shows this weekend!”, the Scottish DJ wrote on Instagram last Thursday, July 30. He also confirmed that attendees could purchase the haggis at the concerts or order it through his website.

The Hampden Park appearances followed the Dumfries musician’s debut performance at Tomorrowland the previous week. Harris has also been announced for the soundtrack to the racing game Forza Horizon 6 and will begin the second portion of his “double residency” in Ibiza on October 2.

After ‘Release The Pressure’ arrived in February, Pizzorno explained to NME how the partnership developed. He also suggested that he would appear with Harris during the summer to “bring the noise”.

“Calvin and I have been in each other’s orbit for about 20 years,” Pizzorno said. “I first saw him perform at Lollapalooza in South America and was absolutely blown away. We recently reconnected, exchanged numbers and decided it was finally time to collaborate in the studio.”

He continued: “We sent it to Calvin and two weeks later I received a message: ‘Banger incoming. Hotel vibes’… I played it and it blew my mind.”

‘Release The Pressure’ followed the Leicester indie group’s 2025 track ‘Hippie Sunshine’ and precedes their forthcoming album ‘Act III’. Since the collaboration arrived, Kasabian have appeared at festivals including TRNSMT and Mad Cool, while also performing a major concert at London’s Finsbury Park on Saturday, July 4.
