News : FLO RIDA: BUILDING MANAGER DENIES RESPONSIBILITY FOR 6-YEAR-OLD SON’S FALL

Flo Rida‘s son has thankfully recovered from a horrifying fall out of his apartment’s window that left him critically injured, but the building manager has said the tragedy was not his fault.

Court documents obtained by Radar Online reveal that Goldberg Management — the property management company for the building where six-year-old Zohar Dillard lives with his mother, Alexis Adams — filed a motion to dismiss on Wednesday (June 28). The attorneys for the management company have categorically denied any responsibility for Zohar’s fall.

Adams, who filed the lawsuit on her son’s behalf, is seeking an unspecified amount of damages from Goldberg Management, Carlos Machado, and Pitch Perfect 74 LLC — the property management company, a window installer, and a construction company — and is alleging that all the parties involved played a role in her son’s tragic fall.

Specifically, Adams is claiming that incorrectly-sized windows and guard rails were installed in her apartment, thus creating a “hazardous condition” that caused her son to fall out the window.

Though Zohar survived the fall, he suffered a lacerated liver, collapsed lungs, fractures to his feet and pelvis, and internal bleeding. A judge has not yet ruled on this motion, and it’s unclear when they will do so.

Back in March, Zohar Dillard fell five stories down from the New Jersey apartment building where he lives with his mother.

Zohar is a special needs child and reportedly has been diagnosed with autism and a brain condition called hydrocephalus. As a result of the fall, he suffered a shattered pelvis, metatarsal fractures, a liver laceration, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs.

“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare,” Adams said. “My heart is broken into a million pieces. It is devastating to see my child go through such pain and trauma knowing that this could’ve been avoided.”

Adams filed her lawsuit in March, claiming Goldberg Management, Carlos Machado, and Pitch Perfect 74 LLC were “negligent and careless and did not install size guards on the window” which led to the scary fall.

Adams attorney Steven P. Haddad has demanded a jury trial and believes the building managers are at fault for not installing proper window guards and in turn maintaining the building “in a negligent, careless and reckless manner creating foreseeable and dangerous conditions.”

Adams filed the lawsuit with the Hudson County Superior Court and is reportedly seeking an unspecified amount when it comes to compensation for treating the injuries Zohar suffered.
