Kanye West has seen a huge collection of unreleased songs leak online, including a collaboration with JAY-Z that was recorded for Graduation.
The high-quality leak, titled “Building,” has never been spoken about before or even rumored by the legions of Kanye fans, but has surfaced in a near-mastered state.
Hov takes the lead with the first verse on the soulful, four-minute track, which features stripped back, piano-led production
After namedropping Donald Trump and U2’s Bono, the then-Def Jam president flexes his financial muscle and high-fashion flyness with slick wordplay.
“You’re dyslexic, you think the luggage says ‘VL’ / Poster child for LV before Pharrell / Keep all my girls in everything but L [Elle] / I don’t mean the magazine, let’s start with Chanel / Luella Bartley, Stella McCartney, keep mami K-I-double L in Versace,” he spits.
Kanye then takes the baton and references then-rival 50 Cent with the witty line: “Yeah mommy, I see you G, on the treadmill, bumping 50 / Oh, I get it, you tryna loose that G-G-G-G-U-T.”
Another Ye and Jay song that found its way online was the No ID-produced “All the Time” from the Watch the Throne sessions.
The vast majority of leaks were from West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s various Vultures projects, including noteworthy collaborations with Lil Wayne, Future, Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Lil Durk and others.
Alternate versions of already-released tracks such as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy‘s “Gorgeous”, Late Registration‘s “We Major” and Watch the Throne‘s “Why I Love You” were also leaked.
The leaks come shortly after Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign appeared to confirm that Vultures 2 was dropping a lot sooner than anybody thought.
In a since-deleted update to Ye’s YZY website on Wednesday (July 31), a release date of Friday (August 2) was announced for the album.
“ALL ORDERS FULFILLED VULTURES 2 COMING AUGUST 2ND,” the homepage read before the date was removed hours later, with only the beginning of the sentence remaining.
Vultures 2 has been plagued with delays since missing its initial release date of March 8. Kanye later announced that it would drop on May 3, but the project again failed to arrive with no explanation.ipping streaming services entirely and be sold directly to consumers exclusively through his website.
