Usher surprised the crowd at one of the Brooklyn stops on his Past Present & Future Tour with special guests Lil Kim and GloRilla.

Monday (September 9) made for night three of his four consecutive nights at the Barclays Center, and as usual, Ursh had some tricks up his sleeve.

At one point in the night, the superstar singer threw money on stage as he brought out Glo to perform her latest hit “TGIF,” and later, he was joined by hometown hero Kim for her classic, “Quiet Storm (Remix).”

Check out video of the night below.

While the trek is now going off without a hitch, it experienced a hiccup just hours before it got off the ground when Usher was forced to postpone the first night of the tour just before doors were set to open in his hometown of Atlanta last month.

While he didn’t exactly specify the reason outside of not being “100%,” he later explained he suffered a neck injury and was postponing both the aforementioned show as well as two more dates he had in Atlanta later that week to December.

Instead, the Past, Present and Future tour officially kicked off nearly a week later in Washington, D.C. and will wrap with the aforementioned rescheduled ATL dates from December 9-12.

It has been a wildly successful year for Usher, who headlined the Super Bowl, wrapped up a 100-show Las Vegas residency and released his ninth studio album within the last twelve months.

His Super Bowl halftime performance quickly became the most watched TV event of all time, drawing 123.4 million viewers, according to Billboard.

It topped Dr. Dre‘s star-studded 2022 performance, which boasted appearances from EminemSnoop DoggKendrick LamarMary J. Blige and 50 Cent, as well as Rihanna‘s 2023 show, during which she revealed that she was pregnant with her second child.

Usher also took home two awards — Entertainer of the Year and the President’s Award — at the NAACP Image Awards in March, where he took the opportunity to thank the women in his life for supporting his dreams.

“They say behind or beside or with every strong man is a stronger woman, and for that I thank my mother and I thank my beautiful wife Jennifer for holding me down,” he said at the ceremony.

The superstar singer also has a concert film headed to theaters later this week, and is up among the nominees for the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards.

The 76th Emmys will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 15 from 5-8 p.m. PT on ABC.
