News : Ja Rule Wanted To ‘Go Nuclear’ On 50 Cent Over Irv Gotti Taunts

Ja Rule has admitted that he resisted the urge to blast back at 50 Cent after his old rival mocked the death of Murder Inc founder Irv Gotti.

Gotti passed away in February, aged just 54 and while much of Hip Hop mourned the death of the influential producer and record executive, 50 refused to squash their decades long beef, appearing to have a gleeful smoke after the news broke.

Appearing on The Breakfast Club, Ja addressed 50’s comments for the first time, saying: “I don’t bring him up per se at all. I think that’s because he’s a troll and he keeps it going. I’ll go to the circus once in a while, you know, but I really like to stay clear of that shit.”

However, he admitted that 50’s remarks about Gotti affected him: “I was hot, I was ready to go nuclear and shit.”

Ja then revealed that he relied on advice from Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff to navigate his anger: “Prem said it best. He said, ‘Rule, you got to understand who we are and what we are. We are masters of self-defense.’ I don’t want to start trouble, make trouble with people. But if we gotta get into it, make it, I’ll fucking end it.”

He concluded: “You protect your family, your home, your honor, your name, your reputation. That’s who we are as men.”

Shortly after news of Gotti’s sudden passing at 54 was made public in February, the G-Unit boss uploaded a picture of himself smoking a hookah pipe while sat next to a mock gravestone.

He captioned the inflammatory post: “I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him LOL.”

50 also trolled Gotti the day before after it was reported that he had suffered a second stroke, commenting on Instagram: “Damn I wanted him to see my new shows yo!”

Some of the loudest criticism that 50 received came from Supreme McGriff Jr., the son of the convicted Queens, New York drug lord who was partnered with Gotti’s Murder Inc and is widely believed to be behind the time Fif was shot nine times.

“If I said I was smoking on your mother and your grandfather pack, n-ggas would be telling me I’m wrong, right? If I said I was smoking on your mother, I’d be wrong, right?” McGriff Jr. said in an Instagram video, referencing 50’s deceased relatives.
