Barry Manilow has revealed a run of new and rescheduled tour dates as he continues to move forward following his recent lung cancer diagnosis.
The Copacabana hitmaker has added six fresh shows across March and April after previously putting performances on hold while receiving treatment for stage one lung cancer.
Manilow shared the news of his diagnosis in mid December, telling fans on Instagram that doctors had found a "cancerous spot" in his left lung that needed to be removed through surgery.
The 82 year old explained that the condition was discovered after he underwent an MRI following several weeks of dealing with bronchitis.
As he prepares to head back out on the road with his The Last Last Concerts tour, the singer had originally planned to perform in January. Those dates have now been moved to March and April, with extra shows added to the schedule. He is also believed to be working on new music.
According to the official tour update, Manilow has since had surgery and said that "thanks to the early detection, the operation went well and his medical team is optimistic."
The next leg of the farewell tour is due to kick off on 27 February in Florida, before continuing through North Carolina, Maryland, Virgina, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina, and finishing in Georgia on 29 April.
At every stop on the tour, Manilow will also honour a local music teacher with the Manilow Music Teacher Award, recognising educators for their dedication and passion for music.
