Take That premiered a brand new track, You’re A Superstar, during the closing credits of the final episode of their three part Netflix documentary.

The pop trio made up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen quietly introduced the surprise song at the end of the revealing series, and it has since been confirmed that the track is taken from their first album since 2023’s This Life.

A source told The Mirror: “The band thought it would be a great surprise and a treat for fans at the end of the Netflix series. It’s a great way to tease their new material and the full single will be coming soon.”

Gary previously confirmed that a new album was in progress, although he admitted he would rather continue releasing individual songs instead of waiting on a full record.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column in 2025, he said: "We’re all working on a new Take That record right now.

"We all came off tour at the end of the year and said, ‘Right, let’s get to work’.

“It’s been slated for next year. We just don’t want to stop, really.

"But I think we’re at the point where we don’t even really want to make an album, we just want to put singles out.

"We’re writing, we’re recording, and when we like something, we’re just going to put it out.

"The albums take years to make. And I often think of our fans, they want stuff now. They don’t want to wait for two years."

Throughout the Netflix documentary, the band reflect on both the highs and lows of life as one of the UK’s biggest boy bands.

Gary later admitted that revisiting the second episode, which focuses on the darker side of fame, was particularly difficult to watch.

He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I’ll be honest with you, it took me about a week to get through that second episode.

“It was a really, really hard watch. A lot of the things in it, I haven’t thought about for a long, long time, and they’ve actually stuck with me since viewing it.”

Take That originally launched as a five member group, but after Robbie Williams and Jason Orange left, they have continued as a trio since 2014 and do not believe they would carry on if another member stepped away.

Gary said: “I think three is as small as we’re gonna get.”

Mark Owen joked: “We could change it to Take Two."

Gary added: “That’s not a bad name."
