Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have etched their names into the Official Singles Chart history books as their collaboration, "Rein Me In," celebrates a 15th week at number one. The achievement sees the pair equal Wet Wet Wet's 1994 classic "Love Is All Around" for the longest running number one by a British single. The Polydor release also continues to rewrite the record books, matching the longest consecutive run inside the Top 40, tying the record for the most weeks spent in the Top 10 by a non Christmas single, and becoming the song with the longest uninterrupted Top 10 run by any release this century.
There was plenty of movement elsewhere in this week's Top 40 following Harry Styles' record setting run of shows at Wembley Stadium. His single "American Girls" climbed five places to number three, while "Aperture" rose four spots to number 23. Dance duo Prospa and producer Cloonee also reached a major career milestone as "Free Your Mind" entered the Top 10 for the first time, climbing to number 10.
Several other artists also celebrated new chart highs this week. Following the release of her debut album, Visitor, Sienna Spiro's "Material Lover" reached a new peak at number 14. Meanwhile, Shakira and Burna Boy's official FIFA World Cup anthem, "Dai Dai," continued its upward momentum, rising to number 17.
Further down the chart, singer songwriter Shane Boose, who performs as sombr, secured his seventh Top 40 hit in just over a year as "My Body Isn’t Ready" debuted at number 30. The success also helped boost his earlier single "homewrecker," which climbed seven places to number 27. Gracie Abrams enjoyed a strong week with two songs inside the Top 40, as "Look At My Life" debuted at number 38 and "Hit The Wall" returned to the chart at number 39. Rounding out the week's biggest movers, Manchester rapper Aitch claimed his 20th Top 40 hit as "RMB (Ring My Bell)" jumped ten places to make its debut at number 40.
