NBA YoungBoy has experienced a busy stretch lately. The rapper has been exchanging shots with Future and several other artists connected to Atlanta. At the same time, he has continued releasing new material and staying focused on his creative work.
YoungBoy remains one of the most successful names in rap, supported by an extremely loyal audience that regularly shows up for his releases. He also continues to rank among the most popular rappers on YouTube.
However, YoungBoy is now facing fresh attention after police body camera footage from his 2025 reckless driving arrest appeared online. The incident received little publicity when it originally happened. Authorities accused the rapper of driving his Bentley at 109 MPH, while Utah considers speeds of 105 MPH or higher grounds for a reckless driving arrest.
The video shows YoungBoy cooperating with officers, though he appeared confused about why he was being taken into custody. He initially believed he would only receive a ticket, but police informed him that the speed he reached justified an arrest.
Members of his security team noticed the traffic stop through their rearview mirrors and pulled over nearby. As officers discussed the situation in the footage, one of them remarked, “Guess he's a famous rapper or something.”
YoungBoy was ultimately released, and the entire situation remained mostly unnoticed until the video surfaced. He reportedly recovered his Bentley afterward, and the matter was eventually resolved.
The incident serves as another reminder that law enforcement treats speeding as a serious offense, especially when a driver reaches dangerously high speeds.
