Adam Lambert has revealed that touring with Queen has been financially rewarding as well as one of the biggest highlights of his career.

During an appearance on The Person Who Believed in Me podcast, the 44 year old singer reflected on performing alongside Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor since 2012, saying the experience has had a huge impact on both his career and personal growth.

He said: “It’s been amazing. They’ve taught me a lot, both directly and indirectly… being in the proximity of them on stage playing these iconic pieces of music, osmosis. It rubs off on you, the gravity of that.”

Adam said his time with Queen has been filled with unforgettable moments.

He remembered opening the Queen's Jubilee celebrations on the steps of Buckingham Palace, describing the experience as “so crazy,” while also recalling performing at Rock In Rio in front of nearly one million people. His first concert with the band, a huge outdoor show in Kyiv, was watched by millions more across the city on giant screens.

He admitted: “I was really nervous for that one."

Along with those career defining experiences, Adam admitted that performing with one of rock's most successful bands has also been a major financial boost.

He said: “Yeah, I will say Queen really did put some coins in the bank, which was nice… I feel like I’ve earned the money that I’ve made.”

The American Idol graduate said his main goal has always been to give fans a memorable performance every time he steps on stage.

He said: “I really want everyone to enjoy themselves… I’m very concerned with the audience. I always have been.”

Adam explained that he approaches his solo music with the same philosophy. The singer, who released his latest album Adam through his own record label this month, said he constantly thinks about the emotions each song will create for listeners.

He said: “Let’s zoom out. How is this gonna make a listener feel? What do I want the listener to experience or understand?”

His comments come after drummer Roger Taylor suggested that any future Queen tour largely depends on guitarist Sir Brian May.

Queen last toured with Adam during The Rhapsody Tour, which concluded in 2024.

The most recent live performance by Brian and Roger together took place in September 2025, when they played Bohemian Rhapsody during the Last Night of the Proms to celebrate the song's 50th anniversary.

Brian suffered a stroke in 2024 that temporarily affected movement in his left arm. Although he has made a strong recovery, he has understandably been taking a more measured approach since then.

Speaking on The Rock Show With Shaun Keaveny on BBC Radio 2, Roger said about the band's future on stage: "Well, it is a big machine to gear up, if you know what I mean. But, yeah, really, I think it's more down to Brian [May, Queen guitarist] than me. I love playing live. I enjoy it, always have. It's really how he feels about it. So if we both wanna do it, I'd be happy to. But we'll see. Never say never. We have been working for a while with [singer] Adam Lambert, who has the most incredible voice."
