News : Noel Gallagher Considers Following Liam’s Lead and Giving Up Alcohol

Noel Gallagher is thinking about giving up alcohol for Oasis’ 2027 tour, following the example set by his brother Liam Gallagher in 2025.

The 59 year old musician acknowledged that he and Liam now have to “pick [their] battles,” as they can no longer tour the way they did during the 1990s and 2000s.

Discussing the recently announced 38 date Oasis Live '27 Tour with talkSPORT, he said: “Liam will be off the booze and I wasn't for the last tour, but I might be for this.”

“You've just got to go to bed early. We can't do it like we did in the 90s; we can't even do it like we did in the 2000s, but you've got to pick your battles.”

Oasis surprised fans around the world when they reunited for a tour in 2025, beginning with a concert in Cardiff on July 4.

Only 22 days later, Noel and Liam, who had resolved their past disagreements to bring the group back together, chose to tour again after performing at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 26.

Noel explained: “It was after the second Wembley show [we decided to tour again].”

“Nobody really knew what was going to happen, how it was going to go.”

“We did Cardiff and Manchester and by the time we got to Wembley it was decided we were going to do it.”

Oasis Live '27 features several shows across Europe, with Noel revealing that visiting countries including Italy, France, Germany and Spain had “always been the plan.”

He continued: “We couldn't not do Europe because our fans in Italy and France and Germany and Spain have been brilliant.”

“It was always the plan to do that.”

“The Vegas and Boston gigs we were supposed to do last year.”

The Wonderwall band will not be creating any fresh material to include in the upcoming shows, however.

Noel confirmed: “There won't be any new music.”

Oasis will launch their 2027 tour with five concerts at Celtic Park in Glasgow from May 21 through May 29.

The band will then travel back to Manchester for 11 performances at Etihad Stadium, followed by two concerts each in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome throughout July.

In August, the Don't Look Back in Anger group will travel to North America for three shows at Gillette Stadium in Boston and another three at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Oasis will visit Slane Castle in Ireland for two performances the following month before beginning their highly anticipated Knebworth residency at the location of their landmark 1996 concerts.

The band will perform four times at Knebworth, with the tour currently scheduled to finish at the historic venue on September 19.
