Summer Walker dropped off the second installment in her Clear series, Clear 2: Soft Life, last week, which will now be celebrated with a live orchestra performance in Atlanta.

On Monday (May 22), Walker shared the news about her upcoming performance via Instagram. The singer’s special “one night only” event is scheduled for Tuesday (June 1), at ATL’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

“Ahh, Atlanta I’ll be performing the clear series with a live orchestra for one night only on June 1st at Cobb Energy Centre, text 404.476.6404 to get the presale code today at 12pm ET,” she wrote in the caption.

Check out Summer Walker’s post below:

Clear 2: Soft Life was released on Friday (May 19), and serves as a follow-up to her 2019 EP of the same name. J. Cole and Childish Gambino are just two of the heavy hitters who appear on the project.

Also listed as producers are Solange, Steve Lacy, John Kirby, influencer-turned-producer Jay Versace, and more.

Summer Walker’s recent news about her upcoming performance is surprising after she recently addressed criticism regarding her lack of energy on stage.

When she hit the scene in 2018, with “Girls Need Love,” from her debut album, Last Day Of Summer, the singer’s angelic voice and knack for tapping into nostalgia, helped make her the R&B girl that everyone can relate to.

When it comes to Walker’s live performances, however, they haven’t always been hailed well. Her assumed lack of enthusiasm on stage has long been debated amongst fans. In the past, Summer has noted that her perceived “lack of energy” was actually her trying to mask her social anxiety.

In a recent Instagram video, Summer Walker felt the need to clarify her stance, noting that it simply wouldn’t make sense to put together a performance around the type of music she makes, which is characterized by slow, melodic beats.
