Music : 6LACK Cycles Through Nature In Temporary Music Video

6LACK stands strong through dark storms and warming sunshine in the “Temporary” music video.

Directed by Cameron Dean and shot in Houston, the visual captures nature in different cycles, highlighting the change necessary for growth, alluding to the Atlanta native’s own personal journey. From dusty stables with majestic horses to freeing fields with flocks of birds, 6LACK emotes the message that all feelings, both dark and light, are fleeting.

“We break, then shake, no fake, you made me smile/Sun, rain, or snow, girl, I want you around,” sings the 31-year-old.

“I think with each album, it’s a rediscovery of who I am. My first album, FREE 6LACK, was me emerging from turmoil, heartbreak, and a bad record deal; my second, East Atlanta Love Letter, was about stepping into new love and new things; this album has been my everyday practice,” detailed 6LACK to Grammy.com.

He continued, “This album [SIHAL] reminds me of the goals I have for myself, the impact I wanna have on the world, the responsibilities I have. In this album, I think what I rediscovered about myself was that I’m playing a different game than most people are playing. I don’t worry about numbers with this. It just feels like a calling that I just wanna follow.”
