We’re baaaack!
After closing out 2023 with the seven year anniversary of Weekly Dope, we took a month off to let the music industry reload for the new year. Now, with a few worthy drops in the mix, we’re back catching you up on the best new music with the 365th installment of our weekly playlist.
On the artwork, I ran with a mix of 21 Savage‘s American Dream, 1K Phew + Zaytoven‘s Pray For Atlanta, and Bruiser Wolf‘s My Story Got Stories albums, as well as Conway the Machine‘s “Give & Give” single with Cool & Dre.
On top of that, there’s also new music from Lil Wayne, Boldy James + Nicholas Craven, Bun B + Statik Selektah (with Benny the Butcher, Rome Streetz, Boldy, and Paul Wall), Mick Jenkins, Fivio Foreign + Meek Mill, Kyle Dion, Khruangbin, D’Angelo + JAY-Z, UMI, and more. There’s also a pair of older tracks from Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine that finally made their way onto streaming via the Griselda duo’s Hall & Nash 2 project with The Alchemist that was originally recorded in 2016.
