Usher and Pheelz have teamed up for the music video “Ruin.” Described as an Afrobeats and Amapiano-infused R&B track, the Pheelz-produced tune finds the two musicians wondering where a promising romance took a turn for the worst.
The music video, shot on an iPhone 15 Pro, highlights the Atlanta native’s effortless dance skills as he and a skilled cast move in sync throughout multiple scenes. Dave Meyers, who also directed the videos for “U Remind Me” and “Risk It All” is also behind the “Ruin” music video.
“Bye-bye, good riddance for the last time/So you can try, try, maybe get it right next time/Different timeline, maybe then you can be mine/You ruined me for everybody,” sings the 45-year-old.

“I put a lot of heart and time into making sure that this was curated right. Something that felt like this next chapter of my life. It’s the next frontier, the next chapter of my legacy,” detailed the R&B singer as a guest on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay.
“This marks the first album I’ve put out as an independent artist. That’s a very important part. Sure, legacy is a part of what got me here.”
