Offset is over the corporate world in his latest music video.
The Atlanta representative shares the creative visual for “BLAME IT ON SET” where he leaves his boring 9-5 desk job and leads a colorful rebellion.
Directed by Maya Table and executive produced/creative directed by SheShe Pendleton and Offset, the “BLAME IT ON SET” music video mirrors the defiant lyrics of the uptempo track. After being pushed to his breaking point, Offset invites his coworkers to join him in what eventually leads to a riot.
“I done broke bread, cut checks, they can’t be too upset/I took that rope off my neck, they couldn’t be too upset,” repeats the hook.
“BLAME IT ON SET” is featured on Offset’s latest solo album SET IT OFF. Guests on the project include Cardi B, Latto, Future, Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Young Nudy, Chlöe, and more. Released earlier this year via Motown Records, the 21-track project follows his solo debut, Father Of 4, issued in 2019.
“My goal changed,” explained the 31-year-old to the Associated Press. “Father of 4 was giving you the inside of me, but I wasn’t really focused on doing solo stuff. So, for this one, it was just a process of me learning for myself and pushing myself more as an artist.”
