NLE Choppa tapped in with some family members to help him with his newest music video. On Thursday (Jan. 4), the Memphis artist premiered the clip for “AUNTIE LIVING ROOM,” which appeared on his 2023 project, Cottonwood 2: Deluxe 2.0.
The Wolfe Productions-backed visual opens up with a scene of Choppa recording a song in the home of his real life aunt, Tracy Denise Smith. Just as he was getting into his rhythm, Smith offers her vocals on the hook, singing, “Children are crying, people are dying.”
The 21-year-old rapper smiles with approval and responds, “Auntie Tracy just blessed the mic!”
After the wholesome opening clip, the rest of the video sees NLE spending time doing his usual activities. He links up with his friends, shows off luxury whips and stacks of cash, and raps his bars for his supportive crew: “A whole lot of switches and Dracs/ Pull on this street, you ain’t makin’ it out/ N**ga, you know how we play? Makin’ that bed, he gon’ lay in that bed/ No resurrecting from the dead, uh, fresh as hell if the feds looking.”
In related news about the “IT’S GETTING HOT” spitter, he recently made headlines due to his back-and-forth with Blueface. Earlier today, Choppa offered the fade to the “Thotiana” rhymer and said he’s interested settling their differences with a celebrity boxing match.
NLE Choppa wrote on X, “Let’s box @bluefacebleedem who can set up celebrity boxing match in Vegas me and him hit me ASAP.” He added fuel to the fire by alluding to Blueface’s abusive relationship with Chrisean Rock, claiming that he is “undefeated vs women.” This response was triggered by Blueface calling Choppa out on JaidynAlexis’ “Barbie (Remix)” track.
